Call for papers

The organizational committee of the 2022 GSID international conference invites the worldwide community of scholars and the GSID community to present and their research findings in the following thematic areas:

  • Economic growth, poverty, and inequality
  • The rule of law for development
  • Toward gender equality in education and employment
  • Africa as the center for global change
  • Social protection under COVID-19: health, welfare and human rights
  • Migration and development
  • Peace and governance
  • Afghanistan in crisis
  • Sustainable development and spatial data science
  • Local perceptions to energy and resource development in developing countries
  • Promoting education during conflicts, disasters, and pandemics

Important dates

  • Extended abstract submission deadline: January 14th, 2022.
  • Notification of abstract acceptance: January 21st, 2022.
  • Conference registration deadline: February 5th, 2022.
  • Conference dates: February 5th to 9th, 2022.

Authors of the best abstracts and presentations will be invided to submit and publish their findings in a special issue of the Forum of International Development Studies.
